Graham Lynch – V. Apollo and the Muses

Description

Anna Heller plays the composition V. “Apollo and the Muses” from the piano cycle “THE CHIMERAS” by Graham Lynch. Inspired by some of the carefully poised artworks of Poussin, Apollo and the Muses opens with a series of quiet and serene chords, somewhat in a neoclassical style. As the music progresses these harmonies are interspersed with mysterious broken chord figurations that gather in intensity, before a final return to the mood of the opening.
