“Of music! Then pray speak aloud. It is of all subjects my delight”. An English writer Jane Austen who would practice piano-forte every morning before breakfast and would have a true enjoyment of music and a German composer Ludwig van Beethoven who would call himself a “Poet of Tones”. They were born on the same day with 5 years of difference but never met in person. In his music there was always a story or image behind the composition. And her language was very musical, with pauses and clear structures. Both found inspiration in country side and nature and would walk for hours in the fields…During making of our new Moving Classics video clip we had a strong emotional experience of bringing these two geniuses together. I believe Jane Austen would chose to play exactly this simple but touching melody of 2nd Movement of the Sonatine in G-Dur op. 79….
