Italian composer and interpreter based in Germany, Vincenzo La Spesa, was born in 1982. After acquiring an MA in music performance at the University of Leeds (Uk) and a career as a performer in Italy and the UK, he left his career as an electric and classical guitarist to dedicate himself entirely to composition. In 2019 was accepted as a doctoral researcher at Brunel University of London for a PhD in Contemporary Music Composition, where he is currently engaged. Far from the first experiments with computer-based music and the radical experience post-Darmstadt, he found his way into a neo-tonal language that allowed his works to be performed in different contexts, from classical settings to film scoring.
