Falun Vinterfest

Sweden79171 Falun

Over the course of four days in February, music will pour out of various conference halls over a glistening winter Dalarna. People journey from different locations to experience the festival that BBC Music Magazine calls ”One of Europe’s most enjoyable festivals” and that has been compared with Gidon Kremer’s historic Lockenhaus Festival in Frankfurter Allgemeine. A festival that focuses on small-scale, relaxed and intimate aspects. A true musical festival during which Ovansiljan is graced with the presence of world-renown artists.

The fact that the festival takes place in the middle of Dalarna’s stunning countryside is an added bonus much appreciated by both local and foreign visitors. The potential to enjoy a pleasant winter holiday alongside first-class musical performances is a further attraction.
