Robert Cunningham’s Nocturne for Piano (1983) presents a Romantic melody in a rich, sparkling texture embellished by arpeggiations and arabesque-like figurations. A strongly contrasting middle section derives from motives of the same theme. Recorded by the composer in 1985 and presented here with score.
