Giuseppe Ciravolo – Celtic Stones

Description

Anna Sutyagina plays the original music “Celtic Stones” by Giuseppe Ciravolo. Composer about his music: “The inspiration came from visiting the Celtic site of Glendalough, County Wichlow, Ireland. It was raining and I was practically the only visitor. I was enchanted by those sculpted stones, gray and worn by centuries-old rain and colored at times by moss and lichen. So ancient and still so alive…”
About this location: “Glendalough is home to one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”, set in a glaciated valley with two lakes, the monastic remains include a superb round tower, stone churches and decorated crosses.”
