Profile
Mario Ciaccio, an eclectic Italian Saxophonist and
Conductor, has performed in more than 250 recitals and concerts in various countries including Spain, Austria, Italy, USA, Israel, Scotland, Belgium, Taiwan,Russia. He graduated with maximum grades from the conservatories of Palermo, Trento and L 'Hay Les Roses (Paris).
He is also the winner of 12 national and international competitions of Music. Mario has lectured about contemporary music for saxophone in various universities including Rice University (USA), the University of Arkansas (USA) and the University of Suny (USA).
He has frequently been invited to sit on panels of jury, including at the prestigious International Competition Adolphe Sax L'Hay les Roses, and at the Italian conservatories of Udine and Palermo. He is a keen promoter of the saxophone and has held more than
20 master classes. He was also music coordinator at the School of Music C. Eccher of Trento. Currently, he is musician at the National Police Wind Orchestra of Italy.
