Profile
Gioacchino Pensato is one of the most valued young conductor of the moment.
He has studied conducting in Palermo, Parma and Milan and he took his degree in Musicology at Palermo's University.
He attended numerous master classes with some of the most renowned conductors including Neil Thomson, Eliauh Inbal, Klaus Peter Floor and he is active student at the Chigiana Academy (Siena) under the guidance of maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti.
In 2012 Gioacchino Pensato is one of the six finalists at the JPYAP competition at the Covent Garden ( London).
From 2003 to 2006 he was conductor of the Cantores Dei Choir and from 2006 to 2007 he was one of the conductor of the GSS orchestra ( Young Sicilian Sololists, Palermo).
Gioacchino Pensato conducted numerous orchestras including Orchestra V. Bellini (Palermo), Orchestra Alighieri (Ravenna) , Orchestra Nuova Bulgaria (Sofia, Bulgary), Orchestra Rossini (Pesaro) , Orchestra Swarovski (Milan), Orchestra G. Verdi (Parma), Emerald Philarmonic Orchestra (Tokyo).
Gioacchino Pensato has many Italian operas in his repertoire.
In 2009 he conducted Bohème at Pergine Valsugana and in May 2010 he conducted " The devil in the garden" a Franco Mannino opera at Valle dei laghi theater ( Trento).
In september 2012 conduct Così fan tutte (Mozart) at the BadUberkinden Auditorium (Stuttgart, Germany)
In 2011 he starts his collaboration with A. Boito Conservatory (Parma) with which conduct numerous opera performance.
In 2012 two opera productions " Don Giovanni" and " The Marriage of Figaro with A. Boito Conservatory at Sarzana Theatre (Sarzana), Music Hall (Parma), Teatro Regio ( ridotto, Parma).
In May 2012 he conduct a new production of The Marriage of Figaro for the opening of the New Auditorium ( Potenza).
In 2013 a new production of Conservatory of Parma has been very successful; Gioacchino Pensato conducts Rigoletto in a series of performances in north Italy ( Carpi, Parma, Fontanellato, Salsomaggiore).
