Its a wounderful tool to move emotions.

Do you agree that music is all about fantasy?

I agree.

If you were not a professional musician, what would you have been?

Magician.

The classical music audience is getting old, are you worried about the future?

Yes, we need to find new ways to get new people as our audience.

What do you envision the role of music to be in the 21st century? Do you see that there is a transformation of this role?

Yes today music need to be connected to the visual experience. Just the combination of this two is for the most people interesting.

To make from a little due a lot. (Mache aus wenig viel)

Do you think we as musicians can do something to attract the younger generation to music concerts? How would you do this?

With a performances on stage.

Tell us about your creative process. What is your favorite piece (written by you) and how did you start working on it?

The piece „First Rain“ is my favorite. I like the minor tonality and this is my typical example of my expression. I start like other pieces. I improvise on piano till i catch a little cue, input or starting a point of a motif. Then i develop it further.

Can you give some advice for young people who want to discover classical music for themselves?

The first thing is listening. Listen all musical periods, different composers. If you start co compose on the beginning everything sounds like Bach and Mozart, and with the years the own style come more and more.

Do you think about the audience when composing?

Yes I am composing for people who are not musicians. I dont care about is there an rule maybe the modulation ( key change) is not perfect implemented or i make forbidden parallel fifths. Is there an rule? Brake it! I want that people like my music that is the most important thing when i write a new piece. I want positive feedback.

What projects are coming up? Do you experiment in your projects?

I planing to make my album complete. Like the piece 1000 Roses the whole album is in written in crossover style. I like to combine classical music with a modern pop band. I thing the music becomes more power.
