What does music mean to you personally?

Music is all about feelings. As a composer and a listener is music the way where i can express myself to my own deep feelings. It mean the world to me.

Do you agree that music is all about fantasy?

I agree. Music is a holy world where i can be myself totally. No limits, no concerns. All imagination and fantasy

If you were not a professional musician, what would you have been?

I always wanted to be a Marine Biologist. I have a weakness for the ocean, the life underwater and the undiscovered stuff.

The classical music audience is getting old, are you worried about the future?

I am not worried about the future audience. You see new artists in new types of music use old classic pieces to create pieces to their own projects. If the audience of that type finds the melody attractive from a Rapper who has made a beat out of a Mozart piece, i am sure that the listener will seach out for the original as well.

What do you envision the role of music to be in the 21st century? Do you see that there is a transformation of this role?

xxxx

Do you think that the musician today needs to be more creative? What is the role of creativity in the musical process for you?

No i do not. Music has change. More types, alot more artists. If we talk about classic music i think that there is a loss of classic composers and not classic musicians. There are still a lot of fantastic musicians, teachers, role models, from young to old. They play the old great composers and having a focus on that. I miss new composers so musicians in lets say 100 years can play pieces by them like musicians today play old classic music.

Do you think we as musicians can do something to attract the younger generation to music concerts? How would you do this?

Of cause. We cant just live in the old days of art. But we can bring the old art to our time. To make the old classic stories new. It could be movies, theater performances, or street art with the classic music in the spot.

Tell us about your creative process. What is your favorite piece (written by you) and how did you start working on it?

Well i work with inspiration from the nature. I have a muscular weakness in my eyes so i do not see much anymore. I take a lot of walks in the forest and just feeling the breeze, the birds, the water and the wind in the trees. I always finds a melody that i work on. My favorite piece is called Stille Blomst. Ist a Danish title and it means Flower in silence. Its about a Flower, growing up in the forest after the winter. Green sleeves in the spring time and become a beautiful living flower in the summertime. Autumn is coming, the sleeves are starting to fall and in the winter, the Flower fade out and die. And a new season begin.

Can you give some advice for young people who want to discover classical music for themselves?

Use your soul to listen and feel the classic music. Find yourself, close your eyes and enter your fantasies and create your own stories in the art.

Do you think about the audience when composing?

No i dont. I love having and audience, and they mean the world to me, but i compose from my own heart and stories.

What projects are coming up? Do you experiment in your projects?

I have just recorded a small Piano album called Patience in a studio in Denmark called Sweet Silence Studios. Live, and directly recorded, so its a live album. Only Piano music.
