Interview

What does music mean to you personally?

Music for me is the expression of the soul.

Do you agree that music is all about fantasy?

The fantasy is the backbone for a composition but the study of musical theory helps very much to direct the fantasy towards a complete sense.

If you were not a professional musician, what would you have been?

I'm a musician who compose for passion because I love expressing myself through music in the sincere expressiveness of being and in this life i'm a nurse.

The classical music audience is getting old, are you worried about the future?

No, i am not worried about the future because everything is evolving and even music tends to evolve towards other expressions. A person with an open heart and an open mind will be able to appreciate any kind of music.

What do you envision the role of music to be in the 21st century? Do you see that there is a transformation of this role?

I don't see a transformation of the role of music because its purpose is to express the expressiveness of the composer by transmitting emotions filling the soul of the people who are listening.

Do you think that the musician today needs to be more creative? What is the role of creativity in the musical process for you?

Some musicians tend to get too influenced by other musicians and so they can't be fully themselves in the process of creation. The process of the creation must be done with an empty head with a free flow of flowing ideas.

Do you think we as musicians can do something to attract the younger generation to music concerts? How would you do this?

Every musician must always remain himself composing music with the heart. The younger generation who have the receptive heart to listen will be attracted by these musicians.

Tell us about your creative process. What is your favorite piece (written by you) and how did you start working on it?

My creative process is in union with my soul. In the creative process we come into contact with the divine energy that guides us. One of my favourite piece is called: The suffering in the illusion. I start working on it thinking that in this world there are many illusions that lead us to suffer. So i have created a melody that according to my sensitivity, it represents the suffering in the illusion. I think that the real happiness is achieved by going out of the illusion.

Can you give some advice for young people who want to discover classical music for them selves?

Everyone who loves music with the heart can love classical music.

Do you think about the audience when composing?

No, i don't think about the audience when i compose. I compose to express myself and this is the most important thing. Whether people appreciate or dislike what I do, my level of happiness doesn't change.

What projects are coming up? Do you experiment in your projects?

I compose when I have the inspiration to do it. Other projects are coming up and i experiment in my projects because the originality comes from the experiments made in the creative process.
